Start on Magpie Cloud

Magpie Cloud is MagpieCRM run for you: prospect data, email verification and sending are set up, and you pay for the allowances you choose. This page takes you from sign-up to your first send.

Sign up and choose allowances

Go to app.magpiecrm.com/signup and choose two monthly allowances:

  • Prospect credits, at £0.007 each. Searching uses about 2 for each prospect found, and each verified email you reveal uses 2.
  • Emails sent, at £0.15 per 1,000.

Your plan starts at £10 a month. You pay for the month up front by card, through Stripe. Prospect data and email verification are included, and there are no per-seat fees. The pricing estimator shows what a given plan costs.

Your workspace

You name your workspace when you sign up. It's your own copy of MagpieCRM at yourname.magpiecrm.com, isolated from other customers and hosted in Germany. Sign in to it at app.magpiecrm.com/login.

Settings, then Overview shows what you've used this month: prospects found, email lookups, contacts saved and emails sent.

Verify your sending domain

On Cloud, email goes out through our sending servers, signed for your own domain. There's no email provider account to open. Before you send, add your domain:

  1. Open Settings, then Sending, and add the domain you want to send from.
  2. Copy the records shown into your DNS provider: the DKIM records, an ownership TXT record and, ideally, a DMARC record.
  3. Wait for the domain to show as ready. Mail only goes out from domains that are ready.

Already have DMARC?

Keep yours. You only need to add a DMARC record if your domain doesn't have one yet.

Your first search and send

  1. Open Prospect Search, filter by title, seniority, industry, company size and country, and select the people you want. See Find and save prospects.
  2. Choose Save to list. Their work emails are found and verified as they're saved.
  3. Create a campaign, pick the list and a sender, and design the email. Send a test to yourself, then send now or schedule it. See Send a campaign.

When an allowance runs out

You won't get a surprise bill. When one allowance runs out, only that stops: out of prospect credits, search and reveals pause but sending carries on. Upgrade at any time and it applies straight away; you pay just the difference for the rest of the month.

Allowances start again each month, and unused amounts don't roll over. You can make your plan smaller from your next renewal.
