CRM and pipelines
Contacts, companies and deals, in one lightweight CRM.
Every prospect you save, every sign-up and every import lands in the same contacts. Companies are grouped for you by email domain. Deals move across drag-and-drop pipelines, and each stage has its own chance of winning, so the board shows a weighted forecast as well as the open value.

Contacts
Contacts, companies and lists.
Prospect search, forms, surveys and imports all feed one set of contacts, so there's nothing to copy between tools.
Contacts
Search by email, name, company or title, filter by list, and see who's subscribed, unsubscribed or bounced.
Companies by domain
Contacts are grouped into companies by email domain; free-mail addresses by company name. Each company has an industry, headcount, owner and notes.
Lists
Create lists, see and remove who's on them, and export them. Campaigns send to a list, and forms add to one.
Custom fields
Add text, number, date, yes/no, select or multi-select fields. Use them as merge tags in emails, and fill them from survey answers.
Activity timeline
Each contact's page shows the campaigns they were sent, opened and clicked, their form sign-ups, and the surveys they started or finished.
Export
Contacts, lists, companies and deals download as CSV or Excel, with a column picker. Contact exports include custom fields.
Import
Bring your own contacts in.
Upload or paste
A CSV, TSV or text file, an Excel or OpenDocument spreadsheet, or rows pasted straight in.
Map the columns
Match your columns to email, first name, last name, company and job title, and say whether the first row holds headers.
Pick a list
Every import goes into a list, new or existing, so you can email it straight away.
Clean on the way in
Re-importing someone updates their name but keeps their subscription status. People who opted out of prospecting are skipped, and you see how many.
Deals
Deals on a board you can drag.
Each deal has a value, an expected close date, a company, one or more contacts and an owner. Drag it across the stages as it moves, or into another pipeline. Filter the board by owner, or search it.
- Open value and a weighted forecast at the top of the board: each deal's value times its stage's chance of winning
- Drag with a mouse, a long press on a touch screen, or the keyboard
- Moving a deal to Lost asks for the reason, which shows in the deals table
- Notes on deals and companies, with each deal's stage changes logged for you
- Overdue deals, and deals sitting in one stage for over 14 days, are marked
Pipelines
Stages with a chance of winning.
The default Sales pipeline is below. Rename the stages, change their probabilities, add more, or build other pipelines. Each pipeline needs at least one open stage, plus a Won and a Lost stage.
| Stage | Win probability |
|---|---|
| New lead | 10% |
| Contacted | 20% |
| Meeting booked | 40% |
| Proposal sent | 60% |
| Negotiation | 80% |
| Won | 100% |
| Lost | 0% |
Not yet
What it doesn't do yet.
MagpieCRM is early access software, at version 0.9.23. So you know before you start:
- No tags yet: group contacts with lists.
- No tasks or reminders on deals yet.
- Deal values are in GBP only.
- No import from other CRMs yet, and imports map only the five standard fields, not custom fields.
FAQ
Questions, answered.
Is MagpieCRM a full CRM?
A lightweight one, built around prospecting. It has contacts, companies, lists and deals in drag-and-drop pipelines, plus prospect search and campaigns. It has no sequences, automation or sales reports yet.
Can I move my contacts over from another CRM?
Yes, by file. Export a CSV or Excel file from your old tool and import it into a list, mapping email, first name, last name, company and job title. There's no direct connection to other tools yet.
Can my team share the pipeline?
Deals have an owner, and the board can be filtered by owner. On a self-hosted copy you can add users with an email and password. Adding teammates to a Magpie Cloud workspace isn't available yet.
What happens when I delete a contact?
The contact is removed with their list memberships and campaign history. If they had unsubscribed or bounced, MagpieCRM remembers that, so importing them again brings them back unsubscribed.
