Customer feedback
Ask your customers, and let them answer in the email.
Run NPS, customer satisfaction, product and event feedback surveys from the same place you keep your contacts. Send a survey in a campaign and people answer the first question without leaving their inbox. Their answers can be written to their contact record.

Surveys
The questions you need, and only the ones that apply.
Starter surveys
NPS with a follow-up, customer satisfaction, product feedback, event feedback and lead qualification, ready to edit.
Answer in the email
Add a survey to a campaign and its first question appears in the email. A rating, NPS score, scale, yes or no, or a short choice is one click.
Branching
Skip logic on each page sends people to the questions that fit their answers, or ends the survey early.
Share anywhere
A public link, a QR code you can download as PNG or SVG, or an embed that sizes itself on your site.
Answers on the contact
Write an answer to a contact field, such as a score or a plan, always or only when the field is empty.
New response alerts
Turn on notifications and each new response shows up in the app's notification bell.
How it works
From a starter to your results.
Pick a starter
Start from NPS, satisfaction, product or event feedback, or a blank survey, and edit the questions.
Publish
The survey is checked for broken logic before it goes live. Close it by hand or on a date.
Send or share
Add it to a campaign so each recipient gets a personal link, or share the link, QR code or embed.
Read the results
Completion rate, drop-off by page and a chart for each question, with every response to export.
Channels
Where answers come from.
Each response records how it arrived, so you can compare channels.
| Channel | How it works | Linked to a contact |
|---|---|---|
| Campaign | Each recipient gets a personal link, or answers the first question in the email | Always |
| Public link | One link for everyone, for chats, posts or receipts | If you turn on matching by Email question |
| QR code | The same link as a QR code, for events and print | If you turn on matching by Email question |
| Embed | An iframe on your site that resizes to fit | If you turn on matching by Email question |
| Signed-in embed | Your server asks for a personal link for a signed-in customer, valid for 24 hours | Always |
Results
See where people stop, not just what they said.
The summary shows how many people started and finished, the median time taken and how many dropped off on each page, with a chart or statistics for every question. Partial responses are saved, so you see answers from people who didn't finish.
- Completion rate and median time
- Drop-off by page
- Charts and statistics per question
- Every response, with export to CSV or Excel
- Survey activity on each contact's timeline
Not yet
What it doesn't do yet.
MagpieCRM is early access software, at version 0.9.23. So you know before you start:
- Surveys aren't sent automatically after a purchase or sign-up yet; send them as a campaign or share the link.
- Once a question has responses, it can't be deleted or change type. Duplicate the survey to change its structure.
- A campaign goes to one list.
FAQ
Questions, answered.
Can customers answer an NPS question inside the email?
Yes. When a survey's first question is a rating, NPS, scale, yes or no, or single choice with up to 6 options, it appears in the email. Clicking an answer records it and opens the rest of the survey.
How do I know who answered?
People who answer from a campaign are always linked to their contact. For the public link, QR code and embeds, turn on identifying contacts from an Email question, and choose a list to add new respondents to if you want them as contacts.
What question types are there?
Short text, long text, email, number, date, single choice, multiple choice, dropdown, rating, NPS, scale, and yes or no. You can add headings, text, images and dividers between them.
Can I be told when a response comes in?
Yes. Turn on Notify me of new responses in the survey's settings, and each response shows up in the app's notification bell.
